Exhibition Opening Andreas Tesch - Future Fossils

Sun, March 15, 2026, 12pm
in the 2-Raum

“Future Fossils” – man-made fossils for the future. The medium of clay allows me to express myself in visual forms that reflect my cultural heritage, Australian nature and the fabric of my everyday life. These forms conjure up thoughts and memories. They may be patterns or fragments. Their organic, growth-like elements invite the viewer to think about the history of nature.

In my pieces, I have developed special surface techniques that deliberately incorporate small irregularities to evoke the impression of botanical or biological species, but also of bleached bones with a textured tissue-like surface.

Andreas Tesch (born in 1957 in Melbourne – lives and works in Berlin)
