This sculpture addresses group identity in animal species and contains visual references to heraldry, crosses, targets as well as animal symbolism in general. It can be considered to be a dualistic or conflicted sculpture as it takes a bird considered a bad omen, then joins them together to create in the negative space a symbol of good luck, the four-leaf clover.
